    Its an OVA so chances are there is a series already released which shows the whole back story.
    Secondly being an OVA means it has a manga series as well.
    Thirdly why does any anime have to have a purpose? Most things are added either for fan service or to attract viewers.
    I agree with Kaze as this being highly echii.

    also, why does the sound desync at the end? was that just me? after the credits i mean.
