Well, Darker than Black has ended, and thankfully, the ending doesn’t screw up the masterpiece that is the rest of the show. I wouldn’t consider it a favorite of mine, since I am, by heart, a big explosions and overpowered protagonist fan. I just swing that way. xD However, I’m not dense enough to fail to see the magnificence of the series that DtB is. I had to adjust to the slower-than-shounen pacing, but once I did, I learned to appreciate the thought-provoking abilities and storytelling of the show, as well as the excellent cast.
The ending leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Many people will be disappointed by this—many people who love the show will feud over those who are disappointed—and some people, like me I guess, will be sort of in between. I too, agree that there are many things unanswered. But I’m not saying that’s a bad thing. Let’s not forget that, although not many things are wrapped up, the actually ‘plot’ is. The plot has a clear and definite ending, and that’s the important thing. Whether the many mysteries of the DtB are answered are not depend on whether the producers want viewers to be satisfied with absolute knowledge, or rack their brains with crazy speculation.

i’m watching many animes, and DTB is definetely my prefered one, with death note

Overall, pretty much one of the most profound anime I have ever had the priviledge to bear witness. The power struggle between the various organizations, the hidden truths behind their agendas, the deviating and warped ideals by tangible to intangible means:
. MI6 plus the Japanese authorities – dissolving the EPR & Syndicate
. EPR – devoted to forging a world by contractors for contractors, regardless of sacrifices
. Syndicate – annonymous, but their actions cognitively portrays a ‘for the law’ impression
Ironically, despite the reasonably huge difference in their interest lists, I believe there was not a prominent group, which did not utilize contractors. The fact that the authorities did not ally themselves with the vigilantes of the syndicate got me pondering the reason. I guess there is one logical conclusion – the allegedly ‘recognized’ contractors on the force and those of the syndicate had one noble characteristic in common: They were prepared to die for humanity.
On the other hand, Hei and his team, who had been hovering between these parties, are sort of prior subgroups, along with Misaki and friends. I must say although (unsurprisingly) they were not exactly best buddies, their interconnection performed incredible twists of storyplots, weaving around manipulative and exploitive barrages of psychological ‘pain in the asses’. Of course, this consequently resulted in their survival past all odds.
I hope the preview, or at least I think it was, is a sequel of the anime? Reviving Darker than BLACK is definitely a must-do, in my opinion. The general perception would naturally corner questions to which the admin has pointed out, but in the seemingly enhanced-action-packed extension, there is no denying the feasibility we could end up more bewildered than ever XD~!

Not bad at all. this show is worth the watching. I have only just begun thoguh and it will take time to evalute. If your interested in knowing, for the next year or so i will evaluate the greatest animes, based on how i can aquire them and my veiwing times. I will then post listing in rank here and there, and on chatango. The listings availble for everyone will be in a bleach episodes comment list. If you dont like what im doing or dont agree with the results i get, oh well.

hei is badass and misaki is one of my fav sidecharacters of ALL TIME!.
this is so much better than bleach/naruto.
shame there aint more of it…
it took my 3 watchs to find all the hidden motives,
so the syndicate (who hei works for) is a global group of contracter hating nazis, EPR is planning to kill a buttload of humans to save all contracters, (contracters not seem as robotic as they back out, hei seems to be the only one who rarly get scared lol)

also it seems yin’s dol power is MUCH more powerful (she can dupe her own body rather than just a blob) hei is more badass than everb4, shame about mao, i guess too long near the gate made his cat body take over his human mind. misaki and hei/li need to get togeather.
NEED MORE DARKER THAN BLACK.

The second Darker than Black series has been confirmed in the 12th issue of Square Enix’s Young Gangan Magazine.[18] In the 14th issue of Young Gangan, the title has been revealed as Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini (DARKER THAN BLACK-流星の双子-, Dākā Zan Burakku -Ryūsei no Gemini-?, lit. “Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor”) and that it will aired in October 2009.[19]
