This is a movie as far as I know. Whether it’s the distant future or an alternate reality with the same characters…not quite sure, but to me it seems to be an alternate reality…though I only understood about 75% of this movie ( I know some Japanese, but I should really study more often).
I wanted more of Dominic…sniff…

That’s so stupid! This didn’t follow the show at all! The closest 2 things were that the moon was still carved, and that Eureka’s “kids” from the anime looked up towards the moon and were “wishing upon a star” but they changed what they wished for too! Yes, I did like they movie, but why the hell would they release a movie that just ignores everything? It was a completely different story line!

Great news! The english dubbed version of the E7 movie will be in theaters for one day. The premiere will be Thursday September 24, 2009. The movie will be called Eureka Seven: Good night, sleep tight, young lovers (yeah, exactly what you saw at the end of the credit) instead of Pocketful of Rainbows.

Wow. At least the ending was slightly better than the series ending.

To clear things up for some people, yes, this was a parallel universe to the original anime.

And was it just me, or did it seem like they used a dozen scenes directly from the anime in this movie? Seemed lazy yet pretty nostalgic at the same time.
Hats off to the writer, you sure know how to make this crappy movie storyline enjoyable.

P.S. Love the Psalms part at the end. Good night, sleep tight, young lovers.

I know this movie takes place in a parallel universe, but I have a hunch that its still a continuation of the anime.

In the last episode of eureka seven nirvash told renton and eureka that half of the coralians would leave earth and use a separate universe to try and find a way for humans and coralians to co-exist. I think that the universe in this movie is one of the other universes that the coralians went to. This could somehow explain why Holland and the others saw the earth from the anime series at the end of the rainbow tunnel (the world they call neverland).

I also believe that the book everyone had was actually the story of renton and eureka from the anime series, and that the “legend” they were trying to recreate was the story told in the book… any comments? I want opinions on my theory

i would say the wirters got lucky in the end with the whole love story part of the movie but everything else was to much to take in if you know the eureka seven story line like i do. most of the movie i was thinking that if i was in front of the writer i would tell him or her to take this movie and shove it. and get back to the org… story line. i think there pissin a lot of people off by writing making this movie what it is. if i was to tell someone about this movie if they already watch the eureka seven series, i would say go see if your looking to be disappointed. if not dont go to see it.
and if it was a person who didn\’t see the series, i would tell them they hae to choices, one: go and see the movie but never watch the show, or two: watch the show and hope you never see the movie, unless your looking to be disapponited.
over all i would give it a 5 out of 10 just because renton was more true to himself, and eureka wasn\’t as slow as she was in the show.

note: I COULD WRITE A BETTER STORY FOR EUREKA SEVEN THEN THIS ONE!!!

Well, i have to say it, the history could be better, much better.
The ship at the end, was te Hachuko Go, the ship of Ray an Charles Beans.
Eureka without memories, well, a new bwggining.
If Eureka Seven will back, i don`t think what this history be the protagonist.
Maybe the end of the anime, or maybe the end of the manga.
How knows….
Maybe will be surprises.

I think what Eureka, have soo much things to show us..

Eureka Seven for ever.

Although I think this could have been done a bit differently, I did quite enjoy it. I like how Bones has continued to reinterpret the world of Eureka Seven, in the manga, anime and movie, and has come up with something different but similar each time. None of them have disappointed me, at all. <3

Oh, and Renton’s “No hands!” was win. xD

I have to say, this movie was good, ok ? I love the serie, and the characters,mostly eureka and renton, the sountracks are perfects,,, excelents…
But remember this, Its not the history, its how you count it.
Eureka seven , is one of this cases.

I always kepp this serie as my favorite, in many different ways.

I think this is partly connected like how clamp connects xxxholic and tsubasa except not that obviously. i think pienrikudou is on the right track. because remember in the anime series when eureka was in a dream state and she was looking for something and it turned out to be an empty book, the exact same empty book that anemone left for the creepy lady. In some sense it seems like a reincarnation of the two in a parallel world after they left the world in the anime series. well, I could be wrong but I do know that it’s not completely unconnected to the original storyline.

Being a Big fan of the Series, it was in my nature to see the movie only to end in tears of what i watched.–:(
Well i just saw the movie and i must say that i am very disipointed in the movie. They kept throwing random crap which made absolutely no sense. there was no development between the character what so ever. WHY THE HELL DID THEY MADE THE GEKKO TEAM A BUNCH OF CRAZY TOSSERS. seriously wtf. But i must say that the fights were rly good. GOOD OLD SCHOOL MECH FIGHT YAY. But overall i was rly looking forward to a eureka seven movie hoping it to be a continuation of the series for like 5 years only to have it throw back in my face… Thanks Bones for throwing a piece of crap in my face.

O yea if you guys wana to know another great anime watch Ergo Proxy. Probably one of the best ADULT animes i have seen. Recommend to all Eureka Seven Fans!!!! PEACE

I loved the anime, I love the manga, and I loved this movie. Although I had to rewind at points to get the entire story line. Although I would make alterations to the crazy ass Gekko Team I was jubilant when I finally saw this. I love this shit!!!

Its not bad. For those of you who hated it because it didn’t follow the series at all…watch it with no correlation to the series, then reflect on it based on that.

If you want to look at it through correlation from the series then just think of it as a different dimension. (Can be instigated from them seeing the earth from the series).

Was good. I enjoyed both the series as well as the movie.
Though the series a lot more.

For all those people that have watched the anime all the way to the end, don’t you remember how the Nirvash mentioned that they were going to another dimension? And have you guys noticed that the Blue planet with a green ring and a carved moon was from the anime?

To clear things up for most people who would not understand the movie, yes this is the alternate universe that humans and the corallians are sent to see if they can work things out at the end of the eureka 7 anime series. The animators decided to use the designs/names of existing characters to make the movie seem more familiar with fans rather then create a whole new cast of characters and voice actors, it was a unique idea but they did it well i thought. The characters in the movie are not the characters in the anime series. I hope this help’s everyone understand the movie a bit better. Oh yeah watch top to bottom.

PErsonally, I loved the movie and for everyone whos being confused, just really pay attention its not set in the same world as the series it can be set 10k years back or in the other universe, because in the movie they say familiar places like south dakota and earth but some things are also from the series like warszawa and ofcourse theyd use the same characters because if they didnt people would be saying stuff like this isnt eureka this has nothing to do with eureka except for the giant ass mechs and the image/coralians so they had to use the same characters and all the people are under “fake names” because if you recall in the movie it says there names and futures were taken away from them and yeah this would be a cool start up for a new series. <— hah first period
